Thursday Night Football preview: Vikings host the Cowboys

On Thursday, Dec. 1, the Minnesota Vikings will host the Dallas Cowboys at U.S. Bank Stadium, at 7:25 p.m. in a crucial game for the Vikings.

Students participate in fall National Signing Day

Today at HHS, 10 student-athletes participated in National Signing Day, in which they decided where they will be attending school next year to play their respective sport.

Four Royals participate at State for cross country

On Saturday, Nov. 5 the HHS cross country team had their State meet, held at the St. Olaf campus. The Royals had four runners who qualified for the race: Seth Eliason, senior, and Eli Hoeft, sophomore, for the boys, and Renae Anderson and Bit Klecker, seniors, for the girls.

Royals volleyball cruises through sections, earns three seed at State

The Royals became 2016 Section Champions after playing the No. 2 seeded Bloomington Jefferson in a 3-0 shutout on Sat. Nov. 5, advancing them to the State Tournament.

One huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings at HHS is AJ Condon, junior, whose family has had tickets for 20+ years. Condon has been very impressed by the U.S. Bank Stadium atmosphere and the architecture of the building.

Football preview: Hosting Farmington

The Royals are set to play the Farmington Tigers, tonight. Tonight marks the first game of Sections for both the Royals and the Tigers. The fourth seeded Royals are coming into tonights game with a record of 3-5, while the fifth seeded Tigers are coming into tonights game with a record of 4-4.

Football preview: Hosting Prior Lake

Tonight the Royals football team hosts the Prior Lake Lakers for their final game of the season, on a rare Wednesday night game. The Royals, who just came off of two back to back one-point losses to top Lake Conference teams, are looking to turn their luck around.

Girls soccer falls to Millers, ends season

On Sat. Oct, 15, the Royals visited the second seed, the Minneapolis Washburn Millers. With four minutes left of the game the Millers took the lead 1-2, and won the game.
On Oct. 2, the Royals lost to the Minnetonka Skippers in a close game, ending at 34-28. The student section cheered on in pink in honor of the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Tonight the Royals will matchup against the Minnetonka Skippers. The Royals are coming into tonight’s game with a record of (3-3), while the Skippers are (4-2). After a tough loss to the Wayzata Trojans, the Royals look to bounce back tonight in a pivotal in-conference game against the Skippers.

Royals volleyball defeats Eagles, win the Lake

On Monday night, the Royals Volleyball team won the Lake Conference. The last time the Royals won the esteemed Lake Conference was nine years ago. However, that all changed after the Royals defeated the Eden Prairie Eagles, 3-2.
