Royals football drops back to .500 with loss to Trojans

The Royals fell to the Wayzata Trojans 20-21 on a cold friday night to return back to a 3-3 record and sitting at .500. Despite a fight put up by both teams, a missed Royals extra-point kick midway through the 4th quarter was ultimately what sealed the deal for the Trojans to win the game.

Tonight the Royals football team is set to host the Wayzata Trojans. The Trojans are coming into the game with a record of 1-4, while the Royals are coming into the game with a record of 3-2.

Royals football moving districts for 2017 season

For the fall of 2017, the decision has been made by the Minnesota High School Association to make some adjustments to the districts. The West Metro district will still play 6A teams in the section playoffs, but will play some 5A teams during their regular season. This new district is not yet named.
