During the offseason, Kleist played on a softball club team named ‘the Minnesota Renegades’. This team is made up of girls from all of over the state and they play in tournaments throughout Minnesota. Kleist got the opportunity to compete in nationals with the Renegades who finished ninth.

Besides softball Kliest also plays basketball which keeps her in shape for the softball season.

“My biggest accomplishment was being apart of the team last year that won the conference,” Kleist said. “My goal for the team this year, is to win the conference again and advance to state this year.”
