Students perform for Make-a-Wish Foundation

  • The second-annual ‘HHS Got Talent’ show will be held on April 17 in the Little Theater at 7 p.m.

  • Allie Ries, junior, sings her original song called “Never Felt This.”

  • The band Quincy plays the songs “Tesseract” and “Blue Felt Pen.”

  • A representative from the Make-A-Wish Foundation speaks about her cause and how the foundation uses the money to grant wishes and change children’s lives.

  • Rowan Ellis, senior, sings her original song called “Blushing.” She was accompanied by Rae Akinsanya, senior, on the piano.

  • Max Taylor, junior, raps his two original songs called “Glasses” and “With Me.”

  • Mia Lorin, junior, plays her guitar and sings a Taylor Swift 1989 Mash-Up.

  • Ryan Lindgren, senior, plays the song “Dressed in Earth, Enclothed in Clay.”

  • Anne Meisner, senior, plays her violin for the song “I’m Afraid” in the band Little Cemetery.

  • John Yang, senior, dances with the Lion King Crew.

  • Lucas LaFostecasse, senior, also known as “Murph Myers” raps his song “The Iron is Hot.”

  • Charlie Butwinick, senior, plays in his band Quincy. Quincy played original songs called “Tesseract” and “Blue Felt Pen.”

The annual NHS Talent Show took place on Friday, April 17. 12 acts performed at the talent show, and all were original songs or dances.

The talent show raised money for the Make-a-Wish Foundation, which uses the money to grant wishes to sick children.

Groups that performed were Quincy, Lion King Crew, and Little Cemetery. Individual acts included Lucas LaFostecasse, or “Murph Myres,” senior, Ryan Lindgren, senior, Rowan Ellis, senior, Casidy Coats, senior, Mia Lorin, junior, Max Taylor, junior, Allie Ries, junior, Chris Vang, junior, and London Lowmanstone IV, sophomore.

The HHS chapter of the National Honor Society hosts the talent show each year to raise money for charity.
