The HHS boys soccer team has dropped to last in conference with a record of 2-4 after losing to the Wayzata Trojans (3-3)  last night 3-1. The Royals are 0-2 in conference play with an earlier loss to Minnetonka and last night’s game.

The game was promising for the Royals, leaving half time with a 1-1 tie, after a first half goal by captain Tim Bergeland, senior. Things quickly changed after Wayzata scored on a penalty kick taking the lead 2-1. Late in the game, the Trojans scored a third goal winning the game 3-1.

The Royals have three upcoming conference games against Edina (6-0), Eden Prairie (3-3), and Minnetonka (5-2), that could possibly put them over .500 in the Lake Conference if they go undefeated during that stretch.

Previously losing to Minnetonka 5-0, and Edina being undefeated, will prove difficult to the Royals as they try to make a statement in the Lake Conference.
