Senior Spotlight: Emma Rock

Leaders are a huge part of this school and the world, but some go unnoticed. Emma Rock, senior at HHS has been a leader through her whole time at HHS.

Starting in sophomore year she has been a co-founder and key leader of Girls United which strives to support and protect women’s rights.

“Girls United is an important club and organization that I am super proud to be a part of, it has introduced me to some amazing people and given me opportunities I could have never imagined. Being able to be a part of a bill was a great experience,” said Rock.

This year through ProPEL Rock had an internship at the Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women.

“My internship gave me more experience in social justice and leadership, it is something I really enjoyed going to and learned a lot from,” said Rock.

Next year, Rock plans to study and spend her freshman year in Greece through a program at Northeastern University.

“I think studying abroad in Greece my first year will be a huge culture shock and help me grow as a person. I was super drawn to Northeastern because of this program and am so excited,” said Rock.

Rock is headed on a journey to achieve her dreams and is more than ready to do so.
