After statement win against Wayzata, boys basketball travels to Eden Prairie for regular season finale

The Royals took on the Wayzata Trojans on Feb. 22.  Hopkins hosted the Trojans earlier this season and defeated them 90-80.

This Friday night, the Hopkins Royals girls basketball team will travel to Wayzata High School to take on the Wayzata Trojans in a matchup that could be the second chapter in a trilogy that concludes at the Section 6AAAA championship.

The Royals took on the DeLaSalle Islanders on Feb. 6, and the Islanders ended the Royals six game win streak, winning by a final score of 75-67.
The packed Lindbegh Center on an eventful friday night. Both boys and girls beat Wayzata in highly anticipated matchups.

The Royals boys basketball team has continued their dominance through the end of 2018 and look to feed off that momentum into 2019.  The first matchup for the Royals this year was at Annandale, and took a commanding 53 point victory over the Cardinals on Jan. 8.

Students and adults have the opportunity to participate in over 28 winter sports. With so many options, students are thriving in staying active during their holiday break. Replacing her traditional shoes with sharp blades, Molly Patridge, junior, will be participating in the traditional sport of ice skating.
