Ike’s

For Prom, our group made our way to Ike’s in Minnetonka. For such a large group of 24 people, they were incredibly accommodating.

First, they allowed us to reserve a room for our group so we weren’t in the way of other people dining in the restaurant and for privacy of our group. Although the room we were in was a bit small, it easily fit all of us and could have even fit a few other couples.

To make our lives and those of the waiters so much easier, we all pre-ordered our food and appetizers. After five minutes of sitting there, to most of our surprise, they began to bring out appetizers that included chips and guac and garlic bread with artichoke dip. It was all very good and was gone very quickly.

After about 20 minutes, they brought out the entrees. Within a mere three minutes, everyone in our group had their food and was eating.

I shared a chopped salad and had the buffalo chicken sandwich with french fries. The chopped salad was amazing and the sandwich was also quite good.

At the end of the meal, the staff at Ike’s treated us to complimentary giant pieces of chocolate cake. It was simple yet meaningful acts like this that really impressed me with the service at Ike’s. Even though we were an extremely large group of Prom-bound teenagers, the staff seemed to treat us with the same generosity as any adult at the restaurant– if not more.

Everything was very nice about this restaurant, from the pretty room to the great food to the fast and accommodating waiters. I would definitely go back here for a more casual dinner at some point!
