Bragg and Hall qualify for state

With school coming to a close this week, some athletes at HHS aren’t ready just yet to hang up their royal blue uniforms.

With top five finishes at individual sections, Connor Hall and Noah Bragg, seniors, are on their way to the state tournament for golf.

Paul Vogt was the last HHS player to go to the state golf tournament when he qualified in 2013. Last season, Bragg missed the cut by two strokes and was determined to make his senior year special.

“I’m very happy, it has been my goal since last season. I wanted it so badly this year,” Bragg said.

Hall expressed a similar sentiment.

“I feel great about going to state this year. It was my main goal going into this season and has been all throughout my high school career,” Hall said.

These Royals may not hold high expectations for state, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have a chance.

“My goals were already reached in qualifying alone, but with golf it’s all about who’s playing well at the time. I believe that if either Noah or myself can start playing hot, we can do better than what others or ourselves expect,” Hall said.

The state tournament will take place next Tuesday and Wednesday at Bunker Hills Golf Club in Coon Rapids.
