Last night, the Hopkins Royal Productions premiered their spring play, “You Can’t Take it With You: A Comedy in Three Acts.”

Seven weeks in the making, the play takes a comedic approach to young love.

Taking place in the 1930s, the play portrays the Sycamores and the Kirbys, two families whose paths cross when Alice Sycamore, played by Olivia Gulden, sophomore, falls in love with Tony Kirby, the son of Wall Street executive Mr. Kirby. Tony Kirby is played by Hanson Keller, junior, and Mr. Kirby is played by Andrew Schoonover, junior.

Tickets are available at the door tonight for the second performance at 7 P.M., in the HHS Little Theater. Two more shows will be held tomorrow at 2 P.M. and 7 P.M.
