Final chance to register for Solo Assassins

This weekend, foam will fly as students begin their annual spring “assassins” games.

For those unfamiliar with the premise of assassins, it’s a game in which players, or in the case of Nerf Assassins, teams, are required to hunt down and shoot their fellow students with “Nerf” dart guns in order to stay alive. If a team or individual fails to tag another player, they are out and will no longer be eligible to win the prize money.

At HHS, there are two different versions of the game. One is called Hopkins Nerf Assassins. Students playing this version form teams and are required to hunt down other players to meet their one tag per week quota. People tag people by shooting them with a Nerf gun or marking them with a marker.

The other, more long-standing HHS tradition, is Hopkins Solo Assassins. This game, unlike Nerf Assassins, does not allow teams but follows similar rules.

In order to play Nerf Assassins, teams were required to pay an entry fee of $25. Solo Assassins had an entry fee of $10.

Though it’s too late to sign up for Nerf Assassins, if a student would like to play Solo Assassins, they are able to contact Jonathan Palmer, senior, before 6 pm tonight.
