During second block today, HHS administration enacted a soft lockdown, meaning that students were required to stay in their respective classrooms while police dogs searched the school campus, specifically by sniffing vehicles for drugs.

The Outdoor Adventures class was outside during the soft lockdown. Several students in the class reported police involvement in another event.

According to Police Chief Jeff Sebenaler, a threat was made against the high school during the lockdown which was traced to an area outside where a class was taking place, causing the police to question Outdoor Adventures students.

Students in the class report being asked to hand in their phones to see if their number matched the one who sent the threat.

One student refused and was reportedly sent to the office.

Another student was videotaped being hauled away by police on a Vine that was widely distributed on Twitter.

The administration sent out an e-mail to all HHS parents informing them of today’s events.
