The cross country team will compete in the section meet on Wednesday, Oct. 22. They will take on some of the top-ranked teams in the state including Wayzata, Edina, Minnetonka, and Minneapolis Washburn.

The boys team is currently ranked second in the state in the Class AA Division. Joe Klecker, senior, is ranked second in the state, and Owen Hoeft, junior, is ranked tenth.

Earlier in the season, the girls team placed 2nd at Blaine Invitational. After losing two runners, Terese Warden and Sophie Holm, seniors, the team hopes to make a recovery.

The race will take place at Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista. Both the boys and girls teams will be racing seven individuals. The top two teams and the top nine individuals will advance to the state meet which will be held at St. Olaf College on November 1.
