On the first day of school, HHS held an outdoor picnic for its students.

Burgers and hot dogs were cooked outdoors and served along with other foods during all lunches on Sept. 2. Students were not told of the plan in advance.

The picnic was a new idea implemented by administration to build community at HHS, and members of the administration team were present during the lunches to talk to students.

“I definitely think that people are connected,”said London Lowmanstone IV, sophomore. “[Connections with the administration] have been really strong so far, even in just the three days that I’ve been here.”

Normal lunches resumed the next day.
